BVB continue to blaze a successful trail in eFootball with a proven team

After an extremely successful debut season, content creators and eFootballers will continue to shape and influence the Black and Yellows as they blaze a trail through the world of eFootball in the 2021/22 season.

After an extremely successful debut season, content creator Erné, coach & expert Stefan Gajduk and eFootballers Eldin “Eldos” Todorovac and Dennis “Denninho” Malcherczyk will continue to shape and influence the Black and Yellows as they blaze a trail through the world of eFootball in the 2021/22 season.

Last year the team put out up to 20 hours of entertaining live content per week and helped ensure the successful development on the BVB Twitch channel, which now has a staggering 70,000 followers, making it the number 1 among German professional football clubs.

Alongside that, several different FIFA formats were developed together with players of the professional team that are proving very popular. A total of more than 60 eFootball videos were produced within a year, including some that have reached over 4 million views. Click here to visit the BVB YouTube channel.

Carsten Cramer, BVB Managing Director for Sales & Marketing, notes: “Gaming culture has become an important part of the lives of many of our fans, and we want to make sure that they can follow their favourite club in this context as well. I still really enjoy watching our progress in eFootball.”

From the word go, BVB has been supported in the field of eFootball by the eSportsReputation (ESR) agency, which will continue to support the project as part of the Black and Yellow family. André Heitzmann, Managing Director of ESR had this to say: “We are proud to have developed innovative and very successful eFootball & sport content formats together with BVB and our entire ESR family, and will continue to do so with a succession of new ideas. We are convinced that the combination of real and virtual football has the potential to further increase the fundamental interest in BVB and especially the engagement of young fans. In my view, digitalisation and the accompanying changes for football clubs in terms of content, TV, streaming, virtual fan engagement and eFootball are only at the beginning of an unstoppable phase of development.”

From watch parties to previews to exciting FIFA matches, Borussia’s eFootballers are always full of passion and fun – and much more Black and Yellow content is planned for the coming season.
