BVB Evonik Football Academy: What a summer!

One look at the smiling faces of the up-and-coming footballers was enough to confirm that the academy’s summer courses were packed full of enjoyment! Now the focus turns towards the holiday courses taking place in the autumn.

27/08/2019

When the school bell rings for the end of term, the BVB Evonik Football Academy’s team of coaches will be ready to fill the summer holidays with 1909% full throttle football! And 2019 was no exception! From summer course one to summer course seven, a total of 560 outfield players and 112 keepers were put through their paces on the artificial grass of the academy grounds.

Warm temperatures, energetic young footballers, innovative half-time campaigns, exclusive stadium tours, special Black & Yellow surprises – an action-packed holiday programme all round! A particularly memorable moment for the aspiring young footballers was the visit of club mascot Emma. Emma made sure to personally greet the kids and pose for various photos. During the training sessions, which took place twice a day, the academy’s team of professional coaching staff watched very closely as the young footballers, aged between 6 and 13, went through various drills and games. Children who demonstrate a particular talent are, on the recommendation of the coaching staff, given the opportunity to be included in the BVB Evonik Football Academy’s development and performance training programme.

The club’s specially developed training programmes means the kids receive particularly intensive support when participating in courses. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean the fun side of things get neglected. One look at the smiling faces of the up-and-coming footballers was enough to confirm that the academy’s summer courses were packed full of enjoyment! Now the focus turns towards the holiday courses taking place in the autumn. Will it be 1909 percent football once more? Most definitely!
